Linecherry Limited is a registered general importer and exporter of coffee, domiciled in East Africa (mainly Kenya). Our main export zones include Europe, America Middle East and Asia. We are founded on quality and socio-economic transformation as well as customer centric. We are the home to Africa’s quality coffee grown with great expertise and commercial value enhancement through innovation and technology. Our Story
Community development and sustainable development are our inspirational pillars and our satisfaction is brought about by attainment of economic empowerment of people and environmental conservation. Our story is far-fetched from the agricultural fertile soils of Mount Kenya, stretching through the agricultural north eastern side of Kenya whose epicenter is the great county of Meru.
Our passion for transformation surpasses borders, anchored on transforming communities within Linecherry farms to embrace coffee farming for sustainable and tangible economic development as opposed to other low returning products such as Miraa and Muguka. Our story is inspired by overturning the social challenges brought about by indigenous local cash crops in the red volcanic soils of Kenya. Among these challenges is school dropout as a result of child labor in the informal Miraa farms. The damage caused to social life is massive as communities loose cultural values and heritage while women become slaves in ancient cash-crop farming ventures with minimal to no financial returns. In addition majority of the crops traditionally grown in the regions have been scientifically associated with several health challenges and market sanctions in various markets signaling the need for drastic change in farming within the upper parts of the former Eastern province of Kenya to more economic viable cash crop, and coffee offers an alternative option.
Line cherry offers a solution to these challenges by engaging communities in responsible coffee farming and linking them with global markets for their quality produce through technology. Our story is aligned to the government’s sustainable development goal envisioned in Kenya’s vision 2030. We hope to financially empower communities across our areas of operation and provide expert business management to partner communities without social standards erosion.
